This statement is so true! It relates to all areas of our lives. My first thought immediately after reading the statement was, “Absolutely!”

My second thought was, “The hardest part of the equation is having the discipline to give something up.” Then, I started to think about the times we give something up but seemingly fail to see the investment.

In ministry, we give, and we give, and we give some more. Sometimes it feels like we are living our life making one sacrifice after another. Perhaps you invested years of your life in a ministry that never arrived at the destination you wanted. Instead, things went sour and you left that ministry for another. Now can you see that time as an investment instead of sacrifice?

First of all, we rarely see the full fruit of our ministry immediately. What we sow today may not come to harvest for years or longer. Second, God is in control. He knows what is best for us, all the time. If everything happened the way we wanted it to, we would be a mess!

Third, Christ was the ultimate example of sacrifice. Christ gave, and gave, and gave some more. He never had an attitude of entitlement. He lived everyday giving of himself with no strings attached…every thing he did was to point people to God, His father.

Although I truly, absolutely, 100% agree with Andy Stanley’s statement, I think we should be careful not to have an attitude of entitlement. We should sacrifice and sacrifice a lot…but we should also be careful not to assume that we know what the investment will look like in the end. Chances are, God’s investment for us looks a little different than what we’ve imagined.

Scripture makes it clear that when we invest our temporal wealth in God’s business on earth, rewards are credited to our eternal account in heaven. Please prayerfully consider making such an investment into the ministry God has given us to steward.

Property has been acquired. Thank you all who could donate funds and thank you all for your earnest prayers. Most of all thanks to our Lord God who never fails.

Now onward to the work ahead Additionally we need $50,000 for new roof, remodeling, and fencing etc.

The campus will have facilities for The Refuge Youth Center, Healing Room, Miracle Explosion meetings, Encounter weekends, after school programs, adult education, “Living food bank,” E-learning, and much much more.
